Skills for Life at Work

Purpose of Project:

There are 2 strands to this project:

• Professional development of practitioners supporting and delivering workplace learning through Train to Gain contracts and our Skills for Life at Work Learning project. We are offering a suite of training opportunities to include: a range of Getting to Grips one or two day sessions, the 7300 Trainer qualification, PTLLS, Learner Rep and Awareness Raising for employers. Individuals are offered 2 x one day courses or any other one course from the list free of charge. Additional training can be accessed buy will be at cost. The project can deliver to organisations as discreet groups.
• The SfL learner element of the project is to deliver a pre-cursor to Train to Gain. SfL learners will be in the workplace and able to undertake learning that does not need to lead to qualifications. Delivery will be based on learners’ personal and employment needs and set out in a robust individual learning plan.

Train to Gain Project

Purpose of Project:

• To upskill the workforce in literacy, numeracy and ESOL at EL1, 2 and 3.
• To deliver contextualised SfL courses in the workplace to support employer and employee needs
• To develop employee skills so that they are confident to move into vocational NVQs, or higher level SfL qualifications
