This is on the condition that you live or work in the South East of England and that assignments are submitted (non-submission will result in a charge of £100 being levied for the course). By registering on this course you agree to abide by these conditions.
Individuals who have already accessed their quota of training under this project or who do not fit into these criteria will be charged for their attendance (£100 to include accreditation)
Aims of Course
This course aims to provide participants with an understanding of the planning, delivery and evaluation of teaching and learning. This is not a teaching qualification - it is an introduction to training.
Objectives of Course
By the end of the course the learners will have experienced:
-
Planning for teaching and learning including session planning
-
Delivery of a short planned "session"
-
Evaluating teaching and learning
Intended Audience
This two day intensive course is aimed at all staff who support learners and are interested in a first step course in teaching and learning (job roles may include assessors, instructors, trainers, counsellors, facilitators etc). It would be useful, for example, for those who train others in their organisation.
Assessment
Assessment is by completion of a multiple choice quiz on day 2 and a 10/15 minute planned session delivered on day 2.
Progression
For those who need further qualifications in teaching and training the PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) course would be the next step.
